More than 5,700 people have been killed by an earthquake which struck near Yogyakarta in Java, Indonesia, on Saturday May 27 2006.
38,000 people have been injured and over 514,000 houses have been destroyed.
Up to 1 million people are now homeless and in desperate need of humanitarian assistance.
WER has already delivered 1.5 tonnes of emergency medical supplies to the devastated region. These are now being distributed to affected communities through WER's local partner on the ground, Hope Worldwide Indonesia.
Emergency funds released to local partner agencies in Indonesia have enabled the purchase of life-saving medicines and vital humanitarian supplies.
But there is still much to be done to help the people of Indonesia rebuild their lives following this latest humanitarian disaster.
WER still urgently needs your donations to provide and transport life-saving medicines, food, equipment and shelters.
Please give what you can now.
